Our proposals
Our proposals
Our proposal for the proposed redevelopment of the six buildings at 188-216 Bath Road is to provide two high-quality data centres, designed to be highly flexible and adaptable for future use.
Our proposals include:
- Applying sustainable design measures to deliver low-carbon buildings.
- Utilising an environmentally friendly deconstruction process to recover, reclaim and reuse materials.
- Enhancing local landscaping and biodiversity, and providing improved public realm areas.
- Boosting the local economy by delivering much-needed spaces for the continued economic prosperity of Slough.
- Delivering long-term community investment initiatives to benefit local residents.
Indicative view of proposed data centres from Bath Road.
A phased approach
We are planning on redeveloping the site in two phases: Phase 1 (currently 188-200 Bath Road) and Phase 2 (currently 208-216 Bath Road).
To support this, we will be submitting a hybrid planning application. A hybrid planning application means that part of the proposals will be submitted in full detail and the remaining part will be submitted in less detail (or outline detail). The fully detailed part of this application will include the proposals for Phase 1 and the outline part of this application will include the proposals for Phase 2.
The outline part of the application will include ‘parameters’ to illustrate the maximum amount of space possible for different uses. If the planning application is approved, planning applications called Reserved Matters Applications (RMA) will be submitted with further detail for the Phase 2 proposals.
We are targeting late 2023 for the submission of this planning application.

- Cycle store to encourage more sustainable transport
Phase 2: 210 Bath Road (outline)
(currently buildings at 208, 210 and 216 Bath Road)
- Space for data halls with associated office space
- Indicative location of car park located away from Bath Road
