SEGRO signs two leases with Picnic, the successful online supermarket, strengthening its position as a key digital partner
SEGRO has signed two leases with Picnic, welcoming the successful online supermarket to the SEGRO Parc des Petits Carreaux in Bonneuil-sur-Marne (94) and the brand-new multi-storey business park, SEGRO Park Elancourt (78)
Last June, SEGRO signed its first lease with Picnic for 3 cells with a total surface area of circa 1,200 sqm in the SEGRO Parc des Petits Carreaux. These have recently been renovated to upgrade energy efficiency, as well as improve the working environment for users.
The renovation of these cells was accompanied by many projects: the remediation of 2,000 sqm within the park, the installation of electrical terminals, insect hotels, new street furniture and new resting areas. These developments are in line with the company’s Responsible SEGRO corporate social responsibility commitments to champion low carbon growth and progress towards net-zero carbon.
In August, Picnic signed a second lease for a 1,510 sqm unit (1,270 sqm of business space and 240 sqm of office space) at SEGRO Park Elancourt (78), SEGRO's brand-new multi-storey business park, delivered the same month. This second location reflects the quality and key location of SEGRO's buildings, close to major transport routes around the capital. By setting up in these strategic positions, Picnic is opening a new chapter and strengthening its presence by extending its reach to both the west and east of Paris, therefore responding to the growing demand for orders.
"The Élancourt warehouse proposed by SEGRO immediately caught our attention because of its impeccable condition and strategic location. Its configuration perfectly met Picnic's logistical requirements, which reinforced our choice, even before appreciating the exceptional responsiveness and efficiency of the SEGRO team during the rental process. This positive experience has established a strong collaboration: we are currently looking to identify new warehouse opportunities in the inner suburbs of Paris with the SEGRO Team," says Grégoire Borgoltz, Picnic's Director of Operations.
"Picnic’s decision to expand its presence within the SEGRO portfolio is great news. The collaboration strengthens our position as a privileged partner of key players in the digital economy, and testifies to our ability to offer flexible, high-quality, tailor-made solutions. Furthermore, Picnic’s environmental values match those of SEGRO, such as deliveries with electric vehicles only. We are convinced that this fruitful association with Picnic will open up new opportunities." concludes Laurence Giard, Managing Director of SEGRO France.
