New location: Rhenus Archiv Services rents 9,900 square meters in the “SEGRO Logistics Center Leipzig”

In the future, Rhenus Archiv Services will store the business documents of its customers from all sectors in Germany there. Rhenus already uses two other units in the same logistics property for its automotive division. The new area increases the storage area used by Rhenus to 31,000 square meters.

The "SEGRO Logistics Center Leipzig" offers Rhenus Archiv Services sufficient commercial space for storing archive material. Rhenus will use the existing space for audit-proof file management and document archiving in the future. "With the new, central security archive in Leipzig, we are once again significantly increasing our storage capacity for storing archive material for our customers in Germany," reports Till-Martin Schuldt, Managing Director of Rhenus Archive Services. The archival material is stored by the archiving service provider in special archival cardboard boxes in specially adapted storage systems. The companies that store their archive material in the new location benefit from the high security precautions, certified processes and the highest quality standards.

The logistics property in Leipzig is characterized by sustainable construction: SEGRO illuminates a total of 53,000 square meters with energy-saving LED lights. In addition, the facility is well connected in terms of infrastructure. Located in the immediate vicinity of the BMW plant and the Leipzig Trade Fair, the location has direct access to the A14 motorway, which takes both Halle/Leipzig Airport and the A9 motorway to be reached in a few minutes by car. The logistics property is also connected to local public transport in Leipzig thanks to nearby bus stops.

With Rhenus as a new customer, all logistics and commercial space on site is now fully let. “Rhenus Archiv Services is an excellent addition to our existing customer portfolio on site. We are happy to have found a suitable customer for the existing space in the logistics service provider and look forward to the future cooperation,” says Melanie Merholz, Associate Director Development Logistics at SEGRO in Germany.
