Today, the inhabitants of Łódź are united not only by one city, but also by diversity. There is probably no person in Poland who would not have heard about the "multiculturalism of Łódź". Recent weeks have shown how big a heart is not only the inhabitants of Łódź, but also business.

Łódź, together with the Ocalenie Foundation, is running the project "Łódź Multicultural Center", the aim of which is the broadly understood integration of foreigners and foreigners, new residents of the city, with their Polish neighbors and support for foreigners, including in contacts with public institutions, educational institutions, in search of work and housing, and activities improving communication. Due to the wide range of needs and the expansion of activities and advisory services for foreigners, the lead partner, the SEGRO company, is involved in the cooperation, which will financially support a number of activities aimed at professional integration of foreigners living in the City of Łódź.

- It is very important for our city to support those who have chosen Łódź as their new home. The Lodz Multicultural Center is a haven for people who start their professional and private lives anew. In one place, new residents of Łódź will find what they need most at the moment. In their own language, they will receive knowledge and confidence from experts who are born altruists that they will manage to organize their future in our city. First of all, we offer help that will ensure long-term security and independence. Training and consulting are investments that create the snowball effect. I believe that you will meet an asylum here, which will revive in you the conviction that multiculturalism and international integration are the strength and decency of the modern world - says Adam Pustelnik, First Vice-President of the City of Łódź.

- Cooperation with the Łódź Multicultural Center is another initiative, apart from the installation of drinking water springs in educational institutions in Łódź, implemented by SEGRO together with the city of Łódź. It is related to the implementation of our SEGRO sustainable development strategy, one of the goals of which is to support local communities. The funds provided by SEGRO will be used to organize language courses, vocational training and workshops. In addition, people using the help of the Lodz Multicultural Center will have access to specialists in the field of professional and psychological counseling "- says Bożena Krawczyk, SEGRO Investment Director for Central Europe and adds: We made the decision to cooperate with the Lodz Multicultural Center in 2021, but responding to the current situation related to the growing number of refugees from Ukraine in Poland, we plan to extend the aid package to support an even larger group of foreigners. We hope that these activities will contribute to faster acclimatization of the inhabitants of Ukraine and will be the right step towards a dignified life in this extremely difficult time for them.

The Ocalenie Foundation has been operating in Łódź since 2021, running the Łódź Multicultural Center. By the end of March, over 400 clients benefited from its support and almost 900 consultations took place. - The project that is underway will be the next step towards the broadly understood integration of migrants and migrant women, which is the core of the Foundation's activities, which has been dealing with this for over 20 years. The initiatives taken will be aimed at professional activation of participants by increasing their competences on the labor market - informs Agata Pendrak, Coordinator of the Łódź Multicultural Center.

As part of the activities, there are, inter alia, Polish as a foreign language courses, career counseling, as well as specialist counseling - the scope of activities will be adjusted to the current needs of people participating in the project.
