It is at the heart of this large-scale project that SEGRO France has developed a new urban logistics space of more than 1,000 m2 delivered in November 2021.

Winner of the “Reinventing Paris 1” call for projects, Îlot Fertile is a multi-product operation developed by Linkcity Île-de-France. The project supports a strong sustainable and environmental ambition and introduces a social mix and sustainable uses, in a rapidly changing district:

  • An accommodation offer for everyone and for all uses: free, assisted, young workers, students, tourism...
  • A range of leisure activities and services to promote social ties: sports centre, bars,
  • cafes, shops…
  • An economic offer at the heart of production and creation dynamics: offices, incubator, etc.
  • A green island in the heart of the city with 3,800 m2 of green spaces, the planting of 90 trees including 30 fruit trees, 250 m2 of shared vegetable gardens, numerous accessible terraces and the creation of habitats for wildlife
  • The SEGRO urban logistics space

At the heart of this new dynamic area in the north-east of Paris located in the immediate vicinity of Porte d'Aubervilliers, the SEGRO Center Paris 19 includes spaces for urban logistics and social and office premises. Its privileged location makes it possible to meet the needs of the city of tomorrow: on the one hand, to optimize and facilitate supply flows and on the other hand, to offer an environment favoring delivery via soft and carbon-free mobility. .

In January 2022, Urb-It moved to the heart of the SEGRO Center Paris 19: a major player in eco-responsible last-mile delivery, the choice of site and its configuration respond to its development strategy in Paris. A provider of sustainable last mile delivery services in urban locations across Europe, Urb-it is a growing, Stockholm-born company focused on building partnerships with the logistics industry and distribution brands. Eco-responsible, Urb-it guarantees a reliable service of expert couriers using cargo bikes to deliver e-commerce packages to end customers.

Urb-it chose this site because of its location, its integration into a bioclimatic project, its design allowing zero-carbon urban distribution, its pedestrian access and finally, its renewable energy supply. It is perfectly in line with one of SEGRO's missions, which consists of offering sustainable urban logistics integrated into the City and at the service of Parisians.

“We are happy to welcome Urb-It to the SEGRO Center Paris 19 and to support its development strategy in France. As a historic player in urban logistics, SEGRO confirms its ability to offer flexible spaces dedicated to carbon-free logistics, serving the City and Parisians,” says Laurence Giard, Managing Director of SEGRO France.

Stéphane Toutin, Country Manager Urb-it France comments on the installation: “We are delighted with our expansion in Paris thanks to our latest hub located in Îlot Fertile. We are totally in tune with this development and look forward to being part of such an exciting initiative that will make the future of Paris more sustainable and the city healthier. »
