This expands the existing tenant, who has been renting 700 square meters on the site since April 2020. In addition, the medium-sized company Kuntze & Burgheim Textilpflege GmbH will move into 900 square meters in the business park from February 2022. The tenant offers a rental service for workwear in Magdeburg, Hanover and Berlin. The third new tenant is Fensterblick GmbH & Co. KG, which will also rent almost 2,000 square meters from February 2022. The tenant offers bespoke windows, doors and shutters on the fensterblick.de website.

“These rentals, several months before the completion of the space, illustrate the great demand for modern commercial space in the greater Berlin area. Despite the pandemic, we see an enormous need for our flexible halls in a wide variety of industries," says Christina Schultz, Associate Director Development at SEGRO.

All three rental areas are part of a current expansion of the area by a further 15,000 square meters. This means that five of the six units in a building have already been let. At the moment there are still a good 10,000 square meters available. After completion of the ongoing construction measures, the commercial part of the SEGRO Airport Park Berlin will cover a total of approx. 82,000 square meters. In addition, the SEGRO Airport Park Berlin has a logistics section whose 72,500 square meters of rental space have been fully let for a long time. Accordingly, the total area of the SEGRO Airport Park Berlin after the current expansion will be 154,500 square meters. All areas have a DGNB Gold certification.

On the one hand, small-scale light industrial units with a ceiling height of 6.5 meters are being built, on the other hand, the focus is on medium-sized urban logistics units. This new type of building is especially suitable for urban logistics and has a ceiling height of 10 meters and has several loading gates per unit.

The SEGRO Airport Park Berlin is located directly on the B 96a in the immediate vicinity of the new capital city airport and offers an optimal connection to the motorway network via the A 113 and A 117.
