Marking the 10th art installation in the Re-imagine Slough initiative, the ambitious project aims to transform perceptions of Slough through art, culture, and community engagement.

Located on the hoarding on the Liverpool Road development site, the mural dynamically portrays SEGRO’s commitment to developing spaces where innovation and community flourish. The striking work captures the spirit of Slough Trading Estate through scenes that blend the familiar with the fantastical, symbolising progress, diversity and the limitless potential of the future.

A glowing thread of light runs through the mural, symbolising creativity as it connects different moments and people, bridging past and future.

The mural, painted by local artist Lana Orkhits, is integral to the Artscape project, which has already transformed several areas in Slough through art, green spaces, and cultural events. The initiative aims to inspire residents, workers, and visitors to see Slough as a centre of opportunity and creativity.

Businesses located on Slough Trading Estate have expressed excitement about the new mural, seeing it as a symbol of Slough’s vibrancy and resilience. “Numerous people stopped and commented on the mural as I was painting it, and they have all been eagerly waiting for the completed work”, said Lana.

Jo Jackson, Director, SEGRO said; “We are thrilled to partner with the Slough Hub and local artists behind this vibrant mural, bringing a unique perspective to Slough Trading Estate that captures our unique heritage and promising   future. It reflects the innovation that is happening here every day.

“We take great pride in the community we've fostered, and it’s been wonderful to see how our customers warmly welcomed Lana and shared their experiences of the Trading Estate. Through projects   like this, SEGRO is committed to contributing to the ongoing cultural and community development in Slough.”
