Innovation is our everyday routine. Following the dynamic development of modern technologies, we are a pioneer in implementing innovative solutions in all our parks throughout Poland.

BREEAM certification of all new developments

So far, only few warehouse facilities in Poland were rated with BREEAM ‘VERY GOOD’. Amongst them there are SEGRO buildings: TESCO Distribution Centre in SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań, Komorniki and the newest building in SEGRO Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn, which received the highest score ever achieved by a warehouse facility in Poland so far.The areas that are subject to assessment under the BREEAM certification are: ecological value of a facility, facility management, comfort of employees or innovation of used technologies.

Plate recognition system

In some of our parks in Poland we have introduced a modern access control system that automatically recognizes plates. It is particularly important to clients representing industries in which time plays a key role, e.g. logistics or courier companies.

LED lighting in all parks

SEGRO has been constantly improving the standard of its facilities and introducing solutions contributing to the optimization of costs and increased comfort of employees. In 2017, we replaced traditional lightning with modern and energy-efficient LEDs in the external areas of all our logistics parks in Poland. This solution increases the safety and the comfort of work in our parks.

Cloud Media Monitoring

A comprehensive utility monitoring system is a convenience offered in the state-of-the-art SEGRO logistic parks. The real-time monitoring system supervises gas and electric power consumption, with an ordered capacity watchdog. This solution enables to supervise and analyse the situation, which results in optimisation of the cost of utilities. SEGRO has introduced this system over a dozen parks in Poland, and is planning on further implementations.

Beehives and hotels for insects

In SEGRO parks bees and other insects can count on special treatment. We build beehives for them – we estimate that our bees will produce over 200 kilograms of honey per year! As part of the team building, our employees themselves have also build eco-friendly hotels for other insects which were placed inside our parks.

Day of Giving

Every year SEGRO employees participate in the Group's original initiative: Day of Giving. The goal is to support local communities and charities in places where we do our business. Amongst the activities carried out in Poland participation in running events, aid for the Society of Children's Friends in Warsaw, for the Centre for the Homeless in Poznań or the Ruda Raciborska Forest Inspectorate are worth mentioning.
